Hello!
I am a PostDoc based in the Centre for Biodiversity and Environment Research (CBER) at UCL. I am currently working with Tim Newbold on the GLiTRS project, a large, collaborative project across multiple institutions assessing insect biodiversity trends and responses to threats globally. I am also on secondment to the new People and Nature Lab at UCL East as a lecturer.
I previously worked on the BIOTA project, a NERC funded project assessing the interactions between biodiversity, agriculture, and climate change. This was a collaboration between UCL's Centre for Biodiversity and Environment Research and UCL's Institute of Sustainable Resources.
My PhD was based at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology. My work looked at monitoring biodiversity change using occurrence data, usually collected by volunteers as part of a recording scheme or society. Using Bayesian occupancy models, I was able to investigate patterns of change in UK species, with a focus on less well-studied taxa such as bryophytes, lichens and many invertebrate species.
On this site you will find a little bit about myself, my work and the odd blog post.
